These are the images I have licensed from Shutterstock in the creation of the final Star Scroll Break video.
These are the only unoriginal items in the video, as the rest of the video is comprised of a star system I coded myself and an audio recording that I captured myself.
The legal basis that allows me to use the images include:
I am using them in a transformational manner, as they are taken out of their previous contexts as images and repurposed into visuals that are animated in a video.
I have licensed all of these images and am not using them outside of the bounds of my current license, as I am not using them in a commercial endeavor or in print.
Therefore, the use of these images falls under the bounds of the definition of "Fair Use" and are legally acceptable to use in the manner they are.
I have decided not to use anything that is in the public domain, as it does not serve a purpose in the project I am creating.
